Acetone-free collodion remover, 473 ml bottle

Collodion remains the best way to fix an electrode for several days, which is why it is still used in video EEG despite everything held against it. The problem was never the application, it was the removal.

Acetone works, but it stings, it smells, it dries the skin and it requires a ventilated room. On a patient who has already spent three days under monitoring, that is not a detail.

This remover does the same job without acetone. Soak a gauze, leave it in contact until the collodion softens, and the electrode comes away on its own. Do not pull: if it resists, it needs longer to act.

It is flammable, like every solvent of this kind. It is stored away from any heat source, bottle closed, and it is not used near electrosurgery or any other equipment that can produce a spark.

The 473 ml bottle is the common format. For departments montaging with collodion several times a week, that is several weeks of autonomy.
