Inductance bands do not plug straight into the polygraph. They go through an interface cable carrying the loop drive electronics, and that cable is not the same for the thoracic and the abdominal channel: the polygraph has to know which channel it is reading.
That is why a department ordering bands without checking its cables ends up with two identical bands and one usable channel.
Two connectors. Touchproof DIN 42802 in 200 cm for common systems, and the key-type plug in 45 cm for dedicated modules that require it. Length is not a comfort choice in the second case, it follows the module location.
These are parts that last years. They are ordered once, and it is sensible to keep a spare of each type: the day a cable fails, the whole effort channel goes with it.
