Ivory mild cleaner for EEG caps, 70 ml bottle

An EEG cap costs several hundred euros and is rarely replaced for a noble reason: it is replaced because it was washed with whatever was on the bench. Common hospital detergents are alkaline, sometimes chlorinated, and both damage the tin electrodes and the fabric.

Ivory is formulated for that precise use. It dissolves conductive gel, it does not corrode tin, and it does not stiffen the cap elastane. A few drops in a basin of warm water is enough.

Method counts as much as product. Rinse first with clear water to take off the bulk of the gel, wash in warm soapy water, rinse again, and dry flat in open air with no heat source. No machine, no hairdryer, no radiator.

The 70 ml bottle looks small: it is concentrated and lasts. One cap a day for several months fits in a single bottle.

This product cleans, it does not disinfect. If the department protocol requires disinfection between two patients, you need a disinfectant compatible with the cap materials, to be checked with the cap manufacturer.
