Tremor analysis works on two complementary signals. Surface EMG shows the activity of agonist and antagonist muscles, and says whether their discharge is synchronous or alternating. The movement sensor gives the frequency and amplitude of the tremor as it occurs.

Together they allow characterisation: a rest tremor around 4 to 6 Hz does not point to the same thing as a postural tremor at 8 or 10 Hz, and the shape of the EMG bursts completes the picture.

The sensor fixes to the segment concerned, hand, forearm or finger depending on the examination, and plugs in on touchproof DIN 42802 like the rest of the chain.

It is reusable. As with every cabled sensor, the strain relief gives way first, and that is what to protect.
