- Description: Skin preparation gel in a bottle, built for throughput: it lowers impedance and improves electrode adhesion, with no tube to reclose between two placements.

Skin preparation is the step that gets shortened when time is tight, and systematically the one paid for afterwards. The stratum corneum, sebum and hair-product residues form a resistance that no conductive paste compensates. Impedance stays high, the signal is noisy, and you have to go back to the patient.

Everi does that work with a mild abrasive load suspended in a gel. You rub the site for a few seconds with a cotton swab or a gauze, wipe, and apply the electrode. Impedance drops immediately.

The 160 g bottle is the department format. It sits in one hand, you load the swab without putting a cap down each time, and the carton of 24 covers several months for a lab in steady use.

It also improves adhesion: on degreased skin an adhesive electrode holds longer and an adhesive paste works in better conditions. The two effects go together.

Like any abrasive it calls for judgement on fragile skin, in neonatology and geriatrics. You rub less, you check the skin condition, and you accept a slightly higher impedance rather than a lesion.
