- Description: The electrodes that go on the finger for sensory conduction. Steel rings, fine rings, finger clips, paediatric version.

The sensory study of the median and ulnar nerves is classically done at the finger. The rings slide onto the phalanx, one for the active, one for the reference, and the spacing is given by the position of the phalanges.

Stainless steel rings are the standard: they conduct well, they clean, and they last. The fine model suits slim fingers and adolescents, the paediatric model small hands. A ring that is too wide does not make contact around its whole circumference and gives a reduced response wrongly attributed to the patient.

Finger clips are the alternative when the ring does not hold, on an oedematous, deformed or splinted finger. They are quicker to fit but apply a pressure that has to be watched.

The STIM/REC range completes the set with interchangeable parts of the same system: 10 mm gold cups, 8 mm flat Ag/AgCl electrodes, crocodile clips, snap studs and 1 mm female sockets. They allow one measuring chain to be adapted to different montages without rebuying cables.

Two connectors, touchproof DIN 42802 and shielded 5-pin DIN. Cable 100 cm, 60 cm for the finger clips.
