- Description: Two poles at a fixed 30 mm spacing, so the stimulation distance is the same from patient to patient. With or without a marker stud.

The latency measured in nerve conduction depends on the distance the impulse travels. If the spacing between cathode and anode changes from one study to the next, the values are no longer comparable, between patients or with published norms.

The bipolar bar fixes that distance at 30 mm. The operator no longer has to position two separate electrodes or measure the gap: they place the bar, and the geometry is guaranteed.

The stud version carries a palpable marker that helps find the same bearing point on the nerve path, which counts when the same patient returns for a follow-up.

Two connectors, touchproof DIN 42802 for common equipment and shielded 5-pin DIN for those that require it. Shielding is not cosmetic: on stimulation it reduces the artefact that masks the onset of the response.

The interface felt is replaceable, and it is a wear part: dry or soiled felt raises the stimulation impedance and forces the intensity up, which is unpleasant for the patient without improving anything.
