There are positions where a cup is too much: the eye canthus, the chin, paediatric montages. The adhesive holds on its own, the reduced area avoids encroaching on the neighbouring derivation, and there is nothing to clean afterwards.

The trade-off is known: a dry electrode has higher impedance than a cup filled with paste. On EOG and chin EMG, where the signal is large, that has no consequence. On a scalp EEG derivation, the cup remains preferable.

0.7 mm pin, to be connected with a matching connection cable. Single use.
