An EEG cap that tightens correctly for a twenty-minute study does not tighten correctly for a night. The pressure that guarantees contact during the test becomes a nuisance after two hours, and a mark on the forehead after eight.

The Softcap answers that through the fabric: softer, it spreads the pressure instead of concentrating it on the anchor points. Positions stay those of the 10-20 system and the electrodes are the same tin electrodes, it is the structure that changes.

Seven head sizes, from 34 to 62 cm, colour coded like the rest of the range: brown, pink, light blue, green, yellow, red, blue. The paediatric sizes carry 10 electrodes, the adult sizes 20.

It remains reusable, and it washes the same way: rinse with clear water, gentle wash with the cleaner intended for caps, dry flat with no heat source. The soft fabric tolerates a hairdryer even less well than the standard fabric.
