- Description: The cap designed for the whole night: montage reduced to the positions useful for sleep scoring, and a hold over eight hours.

Sleep scoring does not need twenty-one positions. The AASM rules are satisfied with three derivations, frontal, central and occipital, plus the reference electrodes. Fitting a full 10-20 cap for a polysomnography means making the technician and the patient work for channels nobody will look at.

The Sleepcap starts from that observation. The cap structure stays the same, the layout is calibrated for the sleep montage, and fitting goes faster.

Hold is the other criterion. A cap that slips at three in the morning loses the second half of the night, that is the part where REM sleep is most present, that is the part that counts most for interpretation.

Seven sizes, colour coded like the rest of the range, from 34 to 62 cm. The 10-electrode versions cover paediatrics, the 20-electrode ones adults.

The cap is completed by a chin strap for the submental EMG channels, which the cap itself does not carry.
