- Description: A 2 mm plug to DIN 42802 and back, 2 and 4 mm sockets, crocodile clips, a jumper bridge. The box that saves a montage.

A neurophysiology department accumulates generations of equipment and electrodes bought at different times. The result is a collection of plugs that do not always match, and a montage that stalls on a connector.

These adapters cover the commonest transitions. The 2 mm plug to touchproof DIN 42802 lets older electrodes connect to a recent amplifier; the reverse adapter does it the other way. The 2 and 4 mm sockets take banana plugs. The crocodile clips bite onto an electrode tab with no connector at all.

The jumper bridge links two touchproof inputs together, which serves to duplicate a signal or join two references without rewiring.

Two colours on most references, black and red, to keep the usual polarity convention. The 4 mm female adapters come in five colours.

This is the kind of stock you build once and keep in a drawer in the technical room. These parts do not wear out, they go missing.
