Rigid tarlatan holds a cup while the collodion sets, and protects the position from rubbing. A twenty metre roll covers a number of montages that looks unreasonable until the day there is none left.

Fifteen centimetre cotton swabs are the tool of abrasive gel. They reach the scalp through the hair, they rub the site without injuring, and they are discarded. A pharmacy cotton bud does worse because it is too short and too soft.

Tech Tape is a roll of six hundred pre-cut adhesive discs, intended to hold an electrode on the scalp for several days. It is the alternative to collodion when you want the hold without the fumes or the remover.

The adhesive foam disc serves the Medcap electrodes: it creates the thickness that presses the cup onto the skin and holds the paste around it.

None of these four products is expensive. All four together are worth less than one electrode, and their absence costs a night.
